September 24, 2015 Fossil’s Varsity boys team had a heartbreaking loss to one of their rivals, Boulder. The final score was 0-1 but the team turned motivation into energy to try and at least tie the game. Going into the second half the score sat at 0-0 with both teams playing a competitive game. After putting the ball in the back of the net, Boulder continued with a high intensity level until the final whistle. Fossil never quit on the game, they worked until the buzzer went off, creating many close scoring opportunities, with their defense holding Boulder off for the rest of the game. Unfortunately their hard work didn’t pay off. The game came to a close, not in favor of the Sabercats despite their performance.
