Unified Sabercats arise victorious against Poudre

This past week, the Unified Flag Football program went head to head against Poudre High School at French Field. It was a close game but the Unified Sabercats came out on top with an ending score of 19-20. The next game is Oct. 14 at 4:30 against Brighton High School, held at FRHS. The Unified athletes are in full swing in preparation for the regional and state competitions coming up this October. Regionals will be held Oct. 3 at FRHS. The first game is at 8:30 a.m and awards will be given for each division after they have completed play. Another huge event for the athletes, State is coming up shortly after: an all day affair on Oct. 17 at JFK High School, which is in southwest Denver.

This article is very useful because not only does it highlight the unified team’s progress and success, but it also shows the standings and schedules for regionals and state which is very helpful. It is a great way for other Fossil Ridge students to get information of the games so that they can come out and support the unified football team!
