November 4, 2016—The Vietnamese car rally hosted by the Gia Lai Team started their ride at the Ritz Carlton in Denver, Colorado. The Car festival showcased 20 Lamborghini Aventadors, all with Vietnamese maps designed on the bodies. “We chose Denver because this is our third rally, and it’s just a place we haven’t been before,” said Nicky, a member of Gia Lai, “It’s also a rally for groups of entrepreneurs and business owners who help with our decals and other promotions.”

The Gia Lai Team attracts car enthusiasts from all around the States while making a bold political statement asserting Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes as part of Vietnam. It declares Vietnam’s jurisdiction over the territorial waters and claims the long debated sea and island sovereignty from China and Taiwan.

The GL Rally will continue heading west. Colorado was the starting location which will end on November 13, in Las Vegas with stops in Albuquerque, Scottsdale, and Los Angeles.
