Knowledge Bowl takes first in second consecutive meet

On Saturday, February 5, Fossil Ridge High School’s Knowledge Bowl competed in its fourth meet of the season. The team destroyed and ended up in first place overall with well over 100 points.

After round one, the team was up by nine points against Thompson Valley and Liberty Common High Schools, and were nervous heading into the subsequent rounds. “We’re either going to need one really big round or a slow gain,” said A team competitor Maas van de Graaf.

While preparing for round 3, A team discussed strategy.

As the team pressed on, they gained more and more points. At the end of round two they had tied Thompson Valley, and only continued to gain momentum from there. In the fourth and final round, Fossil scored 18 points, destroying Liberty’s 12 and Thompson Valley’s 7. Senior Nick Lin received the team awarded MVP.

Overall, a really good article. I think you could have touched more on the knowledge bowl is and how it works. I laughed a little when the article said “Fossil scored 18 points, destroying Liberty’s 12 and Thompson Valley’s 7.” I love the enthusiasm. Interview more than one person, if possible.

I think you had really good information but I think you could have included more like what Knowledge Bowl is and how it works.

Pretty good, maybe have interviewed more than one person. Also maybe say what topics they did while competing.
