Jaelin Howell gets called up to the Women’s National Soccer Team training camp

Jaelin Howell. A junior at Fossil Ridge High School is living her dream of playing professional soccer and she hasn’t even graduated from high school. On Wednesday, March 29 Howell was called up to the Women’s National Soccer Team’s training camp. She will also be on the roster for their games against Russia on Thursday, April 6 and Sunday, April 9.

Howell is currently in Portland, Oregon with the U-23 National Soccer Team. She played in their game on Sunday, March 26 against the Houston Dash and will play tonight (Wednesday, March 29) against the Portland Thorns. The U-23 team will play their third game on Saturday, April 1 against the Chicago Red Stars but Howell will have to miss it to join the women’s team in Texas.

Colorado player, Lindsey Horan will not participate in the upcoming training camp with the women’s team due to a hip flexor strain so Howell will take her place. Good luck to her as she begins her journey playing professional soccer.
