Fossil Ridge High School beat Mountain Range High School in their second to last home game on Wednesday, October 18. League play for the girls is quickly coming to a close, but they’ll be back in the Fossil Ridge gym on Tuesday, October 24, for their final home game of the season.

Fossil dominated all three sets, ending the game the earliest they have all season. The first set was quick as Fossil played a strong offense and scored point after point. The Sabercats took the set 25-7.

In the second set Fossil again played with a strong offensive line, however the defensive line faltered in the beginning of the set. The girls quickly took a timeout, but came back to the court and took the win. The set ended with a score of 25-8.

Mountain Range amped up their intensity in the final set, however, they never took a lead over Fossil. Both teams played well, but it was the SaberCats who earned the victory, taking another step closer to regionals. Fossil won the game 25-11.

The girls game next Tuesday, will be Senior Night. We will be honoring and saying goodbye to seniors Hailey Derrisaw, Camille Giles, Tyler Lindgren and Lindi Pojar. Come out and show your support!
