Tuesday, December 12, Fossil Ridge high school had a rivalry meet against Fairview High school.The Sabercats and the knights both put all of their effort into the meet, but Fossil beat them by 11 points.Fossil finished with 163 points and Fairview has 149, making this a very close race.

Below are the results from the meet:

The first events was the 200 yard medley relay. Fossil placed first with Bayley Stewart, Zoe Bartel, Kylee Alons, and Coleen Gillilan swimming. The four girls finished with a time of 1:45.87. CJ Kovac, Riley Green, Phoebe Huey, and Madeleine Mason came in third place with a finishing time of 1:55.47. Fossil also received fifth, ninth, tenth, and eleventh.

The third event was the 200 Yard IM, Fossil placed first, second, seventh, eighth, and ninth. Coleen Gillilan placed first with a total time of 2:05.40, Caraline Baker had a time of 2:12.58 and placed second. Emma stahl received 7th place with a time of 2:21.62, Riley Green had a time of 2:22.95 and was eighth in the event.

In the fourth event which was the 50 yard freestyle race the Sacercats received first, third,  fourth, eighth, and ninth place. Bartel placed first with a time of 24.77 seconds, Mason placed second and finished with a time of 25.35 seconds,  Andrea Niemann placed fourth with a time of 25.52 seconds.Hadley Nelson received eighth place with a time of 26.66 seconds, and Mia Strong got ninth place and finished with a time of 26.72 seconds.

The eight event was the 500 yard freestyle. Fossil placed first but Fairview placed second, third, and fourth. Gillilan placed first with a time of 5:17.88, Niemann placed fifth with a time of 5:29.95, and Mahala Erlandson revised 7th place with a time of 5:46.25.

The next swim meet is the Coaches Invite, which is  Saturday, December 16th. With the swimmers good luck next time you see them.
