On Thursday, January 7 the Fossil Ridge Unified basketball team played Poudre at Fossil. It was their second game of the season, first game at home.

In the first half of the game Fossil dominated  the boards. Fossil kept on getting offensive rebounds which led to more shorts and more opportunities to score. The best player in the first half was David Knuckey. Knuckey scored 6 points and had many assists, steals, and rebounds. He helped his team in the first half in every way. The other star was Liam Flake who helped with the rebounding with more than 7 in the first half. Flake also had some assists, and also had a couple of steals. Fossil overall played a good first half and had a lead going into halftime 18 to 12 over Poudre.

In the second half it was much of the same. Fossil kept crushing the glass and making baskets, assists, and steals. The star of the second half was clearly David Knuckey who had 7 points and was constantly getting offensive rebounds and getting steals. Knuckey tried hard in every way and was the factor of the game. In the end, Fossil won 32 to 28 in a great win for them.
