Looking through the lens: The season of photos

The four seasons; fall, spring summer and winter all have special traits that make photos great. Each season is ideal for a specific type of photo.

Fall:

Family photos seem to look the best when in a fall setting. These types of photos seem to not only be popular, but also they seem to be the most aesthetically pleasing. Families look the best in fall leaves, where they can take fun pictures with tall grasses and trees, all in layered clothes of darker, rich colors.

Another photo session that look the best in the fall are business portraits or senior photos. Shooting in the fall allows the subject to wear a lot of layers, scarves, vests, jeans, boots, high socks and layered jewelry. These colors are rich, darker and include many elements making the photos visually appealing. This also allows the subject to look cute without dying in the summer heat pretending to be taking photos in the fall.

Winter:

Family photos once again look cute in the winter, when layers look cute. Winter jackets, hat scarves and boots look cute when they are coordinating colors and a mixture of patterns. The snow adds a fun backdrop as it is different in every photo.

Winter is also great for senior photos because noses and cheeks become rosy and cute hats and scarves add a lot of texture and depth to every photo.

Summer:

Summer is a great time for family photos that are more whimsical and relaxed. They turn out really cute when taken at a lake or in the ocean where the kids are playing and relaxed. A photo shoot like this creates many unexpected photo moments that often seem to be the favorite.

Senior photos are most often taken during the summer, because of deadlines for the yearbook as well as it is when people have the most time. These photos are cute and allow people to dress up and take photos with flowers and a lot of plants that create a lot of depth with whimsical colors.

Spring:

This is a great time for people to take a lot of photos with plants and outdoor scenes that are interesting and varied. These are harder for families because the outfits seem to be less visually appealing, with paler colors and less layer because of the weather.

No matter when you can fit in a time to take family photos, senior photos or business head shots, every photo that shows the happiness, excitement and love between a couple or a family will be the type of photo you want.
