Humans of Fossil: Maddie Lamb

                                                                               Maddie 2

Maddie Lamb, a sophomore at Fossil Ridge High School, was born April 6th 2000. Lamb was born in Fort Collins, Co but she lived in Germany for 3 years. She moved to Germany because of her dad’s job when she was 10 years old. “I liked how different school was because it was a smaller community of people. My family knew everyone and everyone knew my family. I am glad I got a small amount of time to mature there because I feel that if we hadn’t moved I would be different than I am today.” stated Lamb. Melina was Lamb’s best friend in Germany and they still keep in touch by visiting each other. After three years of living in Germany, Lambs family decided to move back to Colorado.  It was extremely hard to make another adjustment in their life.

Lamb was on the tennis team last year and is planning to play for the Sabercats all four years. She is involved in many tennis camps to get her ready for the season. Lamb is in student council for Fossil and is super passionate about it. “Student council is my life, it’s a huge time commitment but I love it.” This past year was her first year being involved in student council, she ran for historian and fortunately won the honor. Lamb is now in charge of taking pictures  for school events and couldn’t be more excited.

Lamb has three older brothers, a mom and a dad. All three of her brothers have moved out of the house and have graduated college. The Lamb family has an exchange student staying with them, Albert Hastrup, and they enjoy his company. For fun Lamb and her family love to go skiing together and find themselves going up every other weekend during the season. Europe, Guatemala, Belize, and Mexico are just a few places Lamb has traveled.

After high school, Lamb intends to go to college but she is not sure what she wants to major in. Lamb would love to go out of state and would prefer for it to be warm year round. If Lamb could have one wish, it would be everything she experiences would be as good as the first time.  “Before I leave high school one thing that I hope to accomplish is for it to be a memorable time in my life.” stated Lamb.
