Bored & Hungry: Warm and gooey brownies

Sit back during the magical yet chilly snow fall outside and bake away in the cozy comfort of your home. Here is a recipe for the perfect cold weather boredom and hunger fix!

Warm, Gooey Brownies –

  • 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, extra to grease pan
  • 9 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups unbleached flour

Preparation –

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees butter a 13 x 9 in pan
  2. Melt your butter in a saucepan on a low setting then add chocolate, cover the pan until the chocolate melts which should be about 10 minutes
  3. In a mixing bowl whisk your salt, eggs, vanilla and sugar then allow the chocolate and butter to mix smoothly. Then combine both mixtures until they are smooth together and proceed to fold in the flower gently.
  4. Make sure your pan is buttered with cooking spray. Cook the brownies for up to half an hour but check on them continuously. You can put a fork in to test and if moist crumbs are on it they are done and ready to enjoy!
  5. A cure for you if you’re bored and hungry.
