Tuesday, January 17, Fossil Ridge High School JV girls basketball team prevailed in their game against Rocky Mountain High School. Zaeleigh Barela, Reghan Lang, Macy Klien, Jazi Barela, and Jorie Vallejo started first quarter off right and gave Fossil a decent lead. By the end of the first quarter, Fossil was leading 12-10. Rocky kept up with Fossil throughout the first half but couldn’t pull ahead of them. Going into halftime the Sabercats held a 22-19 lead over the Lobos.
In the second half Fossil held a steady lead, shooting 10 points more than Rocky and leaving the third quarter with a score of 40 -26. During the fourth quarter Rocky came back and gave Fossil a tough competition. The Sabercats ended the night with a 51-41 win over the Lobos.
