Senior night for the Fossil Ridge High School varsity wrestling team called for heartfelt moments. Before the dual against Fort Collins High School began on Thursday, January 26, the Fossil seniors were called to the center of the mat with their families. Their favorite wrestling memories and speeches from family members were said over the microphone.
The dual against the Lambkins, however, did not end the way the Sabercats wanted it to. They ended the night with a 33-41 loss for Fossil.
5 Sabercats won their matches, including; Brennan Houcin, Kevin Meyer, Zach Klingner, Kyle Smart, and Spencer Cleverly. Houchin won his match by 15 points, Meyer pinned his opponent, Klingner make a 24-21 comeback to win his match, Smart won by 6 points, and Cleverly won by 3.
