Unified Basketball falls to Greeley Central

On Wednesday, February 15, Fossil Ridge High School’s Unified Basketball team competed against Greeley Central. It was a close game all the way through, but unfortunately, Fossil fell to Greeley in the second half with a final score of 30-33.

The team fought hard and were ahead at many points during the game. The crowds were screaming for both sides throughout the game. Fossil almost changed the game in the second half with a three pointer and 43 seconds left, but missed by inches.

While the Sabercats could not pull out the win in the end, the team had fun and played their best. A key player, Prestyn Martin, said, “My favorite part about playing on the Unified team is making new friends and watching the team get better over time.”

The team would love the support of Fossil students at their next home game on Thursday, February 23 in the main gym as they take on cross-town rivals, Rocky Mountain High School.
