Fossil Ridge’s Marching Band took first place at regionals earlier today.  After tonight, they will go on to perform at the state competition held on November 3 at U.S. Air Force Academy’s Falcon Stadium.

The marching band

The performance was the State qualifying competition for the Northern Colorado region, so we competed with other bands like Fairview, Mountain Range, Loveland, Legacy, and others from the NoCo area. Regionals is always one of our favorite shows because it brings in a pretty good home crowd because it’s only 20 minutes down the road from Fossil. It’s also a really exciting performance because it’s the last competition before State so it really sets anticipation for State finals
It’s when all the bands are starting to sound really good and there’s a very high level of energy in the performance, a kind of energy that you don’t get from many other things
