Fossil Ridge High School volleyball had their last home game of the season on Tuesday, October 25. That night was also the last volleyball game four girls would ever play in high school, it was Senior Night. Hailey Derrisaw, Camille Giles, Tyler Lindgren and Lindi Pojar were surrounded by their families and friends when four younger teammates gave an emotional farewell to them, as the seniors are their role models, teammates, and friends.

After they said their goodbyes, Fossil took the court against Lakewood High School. The Sabercats started the game on a strong note. Their communication and offensive line dominated over Lakewood, which helped them win the set 25-14.

The second set started off rockier than the first, with Fossil falling behind early on. The defensive line played weaker than they had in the first half, which allowed Lakewood to score more points than they should have. However, the girls started amping up their intensity as the set progressed and finished with a win 25-15.

Both teams gave the third set their all, building up both their offensive and defensive lines throughout the game. Lakewood gave Fossil a harder time at the end of the set with their blocks and quick spikes. The Sabercats wouldn’t lose their last game though, especially not on their home court, and won the game 25-19.
