Ben:

Who is your significant other?

-Lennon Brooks

How did you meet?

-A mutual friend decided to set us up together. Funny story about that, she wouldn’t tell me anything about him and it took about an hour for her to even tell me his name. She then planned a blind date of sorts and we ended up meeting for the first time at Dazbog and we just kinda hit it off.

How long have you been together?

-We just had our 6 month anniversary a few days ago which is really exciting.

What do you like most about your significant other?

-As cliche as it is, everything. But I would have to say that his intelligence and his humanity is what really stands out. He’s so kind and caring and he makes me want to be a better person which is really hard to do. And he’s amazingly smart! You could ask him about almost anything and he could tell you about it.

What makes your relationship unique?

-One thing that definitely makes our relationship unique is the way we met, we knew almost nothing about each other going in, but once we began to talk, it felt as if we had known each other for months, years even. Another thing that I feel sets us apart is that as similar as we may be, we’re also different in all of the right ways. We’re also amazing at creating last minute plans and that’s something.

What do you think about the concept of love?

-Originally I thought that all love, no matter the form or how complex was rooted in obsession, that love could not exist without a sense of want or longing. Now I realize that it’s so much more, it’s about feeling and it’s about belonging. In love, there is not being beholden to anyone, it’s about being with someone and admiring them for who they are.
