Etched in Stone

Jaidyn Nelson

Jaidyn Nelson, a senior, is currently taking her first year of Journalism and excited to begin her year as an on-staff member. Throughout the last months of her high school journey, Nelson will be working on covering the school’s activities, including school orchestrated events, dances, and other productions Fossil works to put on. She has loved reading the school paper everyday for the past four years and is excited to now be contributing to it.

Nelson is on Fossil’s Swim Team for her fourth and final year as well as being apart of Fort Collins Area Swim Team (FAST), outside of school. Her favorite thing about swimming is having a core group of people who love to work hard for their goals as much as she does. She plans on going to a college in either Missouri or South Dakota and pursuing her career as a swimmer. Nelson believes she is ready to be graduating this year but also can not believe this journey is coming to an end.

Outside of sports, Nelson loves to paint, do creative crafts, and hang out with her friends and family whenever she can. Her personal hero is her stepmom because she in the strongest person she knows and has raised her to be a tough but also compassionate person. Nelson is very proud of her family and all of their accomplishments thus far and can not wait to see what other things they will achieve.
