Etched in Stone

Paige O’Dell
Colorado born and raised Senior student at Fossil Ridge High School, Paige O’Dell, has always preferred writing in her English classes over solving math problems. Although it is her first time in Journalism, she is eager to get a quick start on learning the best ways to obtain and construct accurate news feed for her fellow students and staff. She played volleyball her Freshman year for Fossil and continues to participate in multiple school activities including NAHS, NHS, and art clubs. O’Dell is very passionate in speaking about politics and enjoys challenging her own and others' views on different matters.

While growing up, O'Dell had a very christian-conservative upbringing; attending church each Sunday with her family and grandparents and going to the shooting range, fishing, and hunting the rest of the week. Her dad always wanted her to learn how to fly fish so he taught her at a young age and she is stuck with it.

After all the hard work she put in O'Dell will be graduating in December of 2019 and after that she plans on going to Texas Christian University for college and wants to study something in the medical field. Her older brother, also and early-grad, is currently studying to become and EMT firefighter while both of her parents own and work at the same golf course since O'Dell was a newborn, Mountain Vista.

O'Dell  is very excited to get the opportunity to dedicate her time to Etched In Stone and hopes to being interesting and well written news for her school.
