Etched in Stone

Lizzy Camp

Elizabeth Camp, better known as Lizzy, is joining as a first year staffer for Etched in Stone. Camp would love to review books and movies for the school paper and wants to explore the video side of journalism as well.

As a sophomore at Fossil Ridge High School, she also spends her time as part of the Writer’s Guild, a new experience for her this year and can be caught practicing in the band room playing percussion for Marching Band and Jazz Band.

Additionally, she recently got accepted into the Colorado Youth Advisory Council and is eager to get more involved. When she is not partaking in these activities, Camp is most likely in the kitchen baking up anything that is not too complicated to make, or knitting something fun.

Being a native to Colorado, Camp appreciates heading up to Lory State Park to do some hiking. Way down the road, Camp wants to become a park ranger somewhere outside of Colorado, most likely in one of the North Eastern parts of the United States. Her basset hound, Lucy, however is not usually seen on hikes with Camp.

Camp is the adored middle child. Carolynne, her older sister is a junior at Bethel University in Minnesota and Camp would not be opposed to studying there either. Katie, her younger sister is a sixth grader in middle school.

Camp loves to listen to indie rock and her favorite band is The Happy Fits. Camp is always diving into a good fantasy book or movie and admires Brandon Sanderson and J. R. R. Tolkien as authors. Camp even writes her own fantasy novels in her free time.
