Ryan Henriksen, Staff writer
Ryan Henriksen is a Junior at Fossil Ridge High School. While he is starting his second year in a journalism class, this will be his first year joining the Etched in Stone staff. As a new member, Henriksen is still unsure what exactly he is interested to write about, but he is excited to work on his writing and hopes to publish good quality stories. Outside of journalism, Henriksen is taking all the core classes, working part-time at a Mexican restaurant in Fort Collins, and has a variety of hobbies that he participates in outside of school.
As a Colorado native, Henriksen likes to spend his free time skiing in the mountains and especially enjoys taking trips to visit the Winter Park and Steamboat resorts. He says he will ski just about any level of terrain. He mostly enjoys downhill routes that meander through the trees. In addition to skiing, Henriksen also enjoys spending time playing basketball and hanging out with his friends.
Henriksen is a fan of music and likes to listen to every genre except for jazz. Not only does he enjoy listening to a variety of music, but Henriksen has also been learning to play the guitar for the past four years. He says that he enjoys learning to play new songs but cannot pick out his single favorite.
Henriksen currently lives with his family which includes his two dogs, Abby and Sophie. He is unsure what he will end up doing in the future but is currently planning to attend college. As far as a career path he is taking time to explore different options before deciding.
