Sabercats zoom through John Martin Invitational

After a couple of magnificent team finishes, the Fossil Ridge Cross Country team darted their way through another competition on Friday, September 18th. Fort Collins high school hosted the John Martin Invitational, and the Sabercat runners, both male and female, pushed their way to spectacular finishes.

In the boys 5,000 meter run, usual front runners Dylan Ko and Keaton Schelir didn’t shy away from what they’ve been doing all year, getting top 10 finishes. Ko finished third, while Schelir was right behind him to clinch a fourth place spot. Other notable finishes for the men were Jackson Powell at 19th, Blake Hubert at 29th, and Andrew Mcclave at 27th.

The lady cats had a similar outcome at the John Martin. Sydney Teslow raised eyebrows as she earned herself a 9th place finish in the 5,000 meter finals. Right behind Teslow was freshman runner Billie Fogarty, who received a 10th place finish, and senior Ellie Ewer, who pushed her way to a 14th conclusion.
