On Tuesday February 16 at the Fossil Ridge High School boys Varsity basketball game the senior cheerleaders were recognized for being a senior on the team.  During their recognition they each received a banner with their name on it.  The seniors on the team are Bailey Coker, Paige Matson, and Skylar Jordan.  Bailey Coker and Paige Matson have been on the varsity cheer team for all four years of high school while Skylar Jordan has been on the varsity team for one year.

With the cheer season coming to an end, the seniors have mixed feelings about leaving.  “It was a bittersweet game to cheer at.  When we got our banners and walked out on the court with our families, it finally hit me that we are almost done with cheer and high school”  said Bailey Coker.

In the next couple weeks the cheer team will be cheering at the girls and boys basketball games. After the basketball games are over, the cheer team will be having an incoming freshman cheerleading clinic for eighth graders on March 26.  After the season is over, the FRHS cheerleading tryouts will be from April 11th-April 15th 2016 in the FRHS Gym from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
