Fossil’s soccer team won last night against Greeley West at home 4-2. This is the team’s third game this season and first of the week. The first two games were in the beginning of March, and the team practiced throughout spring break to come back and win a game right away.

The first game of the season for the girls was held on March 10th vs. Heritage. The Cats won 2-1 at home. The second game fell on March 11th against Loveland. The team Mercy ruled the Indians 7 minutes into the second half. Mercy rule is a common soccer rule which means the game will end when a team is 10 or more goals ahead at any point after halftime. This is a common practice in most high school leagues across the country.

The team is starting the season strong with a record of 3-0 heading into regular season play.
