On Saturday, February 25, the Fossil Ridge SaberCats suited up for what would be their final game this year against Denver East High School. After a hard fought game, the ‘Cats fell (56-72) to the Angels, which concluded their playoff run and ultimately their season for the 2016-17 school year.

After the game, Coach Johannsen of Fossil Ridge commented, “This is a season ending loss today, but to say I’m proud of this group is an understatement. From where we started to where we finished this year it’s been an amazing journey. These guys have given and achieved so much, so all I can say is thank you to this team.”

Fossil will be saying goodbye to a handful of seniors this year, and wishing them luck as they venture into the next chapters of their lives’. To Andrew Schimmels, Luke Lauby, Cam Dehart, Colby Pipher, Ted Niemann, Charlie Johnston, Braxton Bertolette, and Alex Price, congratulations on all of your guys’ achievements over your few years here at Fossil, and good luck in where ever you find yourselves next.
