Going to a party this weekend? Wondering what to bring? Try this tasty guacamole recipe by Nick Peterson, a counselor at Fossil Ridge High School. Made with fresh ingredients, this guacamole goes well with any chip and is the perfect side dish or appetizer to bring to a party. This recipe takes about fifteen to twenty minutes to create and serves around 15 people.  I wouldn’t consider myself a guacamole connoisseur. I don’t even like guacamole all that much either, but this recipe is now one of my favorite dishes.

For this recipe you will need:

4 Haas Avocados

1 Jalepeño (optional)

1 Garlic Clove

1 Lime

1/2 Red Onion

Salt

1 Roma Tomato

1 large mixing bowl

First, chop the tomato, onion, jalepeño, and garlic clove. Set aside until you are ready to mix it with the avocados. Next, slice the avocados in half and then scoop out the avocado and put it into a large mixing bowl. Once you have done this with all of the avocadoes throw in the chopped onion, tomato, and garlic. Begin mixing with either a large spoon or your hands. Throw in however much salt your heart desires. Finally take the lime, cut it in half and squeeze the juice into the guacamole.  Mix in thoroughly and enjoy.
