After the game against Horizon High School was rescheduled from last Tuesday, April 17 to this Monday, April 24 the Fossil Ridge High School girls soccer team beat the Hawks 2-1. This season has been a rollercoaster ride with three players currently out from ACL injuries, including top scorer and team captain Kenady Adams.

The dangers and consequences of tearing an ACL are on the minds of most Fossil players. Girls who have committed to play in college fear suffering an injury that would put them on the bench for their freshman season next year and they all worry about the possibility more so after playing Fort Collins High School. Both Katie Townsend and Jazi Barela were injured in the Collins game, which followed the Rocky Mountain High School game that took out Adams. Two seniors and a prominent sophomore were now out all from the same injury and they remind the team the dangers of the game.

Fossil will play Legacy High School this Thursday, April 26 away. They will host Senior Night Tuesday, May 1 against Fairview High School. Come show your support for the girls and check out Haley Rockwell’s article on ACL injuries.
