Liv Hale- Coulson
Liv Hale- Coulson, Social Chair
Olivia Hale-Coulson is a junior at Fossil Ridge High School, eager to start her first year on Etched in Stone. Some of her goals include helping students navigate extracurricular activities, writing about choir, and creating an inclusive enviorment as the new Social Chair. Hale-Coulson previously had experience with the Fossil Ridge High School yearbook publication; she is excited to dip her toes in photography and news. Outside of the newsroom, Hale-Coulson enjoys reading and making music. Some of her favorite authors include Mary Shelley, Shirley Jackson, and William Shakespeare. She has been in choir since freshman year and recently joined Fossil’s show choir group, Fossil Fusion. Hale-Coulson also enjoys collecting records, some of which include Live at the Rainbow 74’ by Queen, Led Zeppelin Song Remains the Same by Led Zepplin, and A Saucerful of Secrets by Pink Floyd.  After high school, Hale-Coulson wants to eventually move to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a career in music. Being able to bring her music to life is a high aspiration for Hale-Coulson, learning to produce her own music would help her in her musical journey.
Lucy Corder
Lucy Corder, Lead of Photography

Lucy Corder is a senior at Fossil Ridge High School with a drive for storytelling. Finding the story within someone’s soul is what Corder hopes to explore as part of the staff at Etched in Stone. This way of storytelling in journalism helps shape Corder’s perspective of the world; it brings her awareness of the reality of people.

Somewhere in her future, Corder dreams of a townhouse of her own, with a small modernistic office that would turn orange as the sun sets; writing at her desk or couch, proud to call herself a published romance author. Stephen Chbosky is one of the authors she looks up to, admiring his wonderful writing talent and character complexity within his books; The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a close connection for Corder.

Corder has gone through hardships in her life, yet no matter the circumstance, her brother Liam Corder has always been her rock. “That's something I really admire about both of us is that we can have those little bumps and issues here and there, but they're never enough to just completely tear us apart.”

With plans of CU Boulder in her sights, Corder eagerly works to get to the light at the end of the tunnel, graduation. Until then, as Lead of Photography for Etched in Stone, Corder awaits the many opportunities before her in the very last semester of her high school experience.
