Few high school students get the opportunity to play sports at the next level. Here are Fossil seniors who have committed to play sports in college.

Colton Pawlak

Colton Pawlak is committed to the University of Denver where he will play lacrosse and pursue a degree in sports medicine.

“It is close to home, good education, good school overall,” Pawlak said.

Brek Benedict
Brek Benedict

Brek Benedict is committed to the University of Northern Colorado, where he will play baseball and plans to get a degree in business.

“I chose this school because of the coaching staff and close to home,” Benedict said. “My goals are to win the conference, move onto D1 regionals and get a lot of innings as a freshman.”

Amalee Doyle

Amalee Doyle is committed to Nova Southeastern University in Florida to play volleyball and pursue a major in business with a minor in sports management.

“I just love the program, girls, coaches, philosophy and location. They had everything I wanted,” Doyle said. “I just want to compete at a high level on the court and just be a contributor to the team.”

Erin Herrmann

Erin Herrmann is committed to Texas A&M Corpus Christi to play volleyball.

“I really like the campus, I like the coaches, I like the team, it just kind of felt right,” Herrmann said. “I want to compete at a high level and graduate.”

Herrmann is considering a major in nursing.

Teagan Myers
Teagan Myers

Teagan Myers is committed to the University of Kentucky to play soccer and study psychology.

“A lot of what the coaches said they wanted to do with the program fit what I wanted in a school and everything just felt right,” Myers said. “They have been having a lot of success so I want to build on that success and hopefully make it into the tournament.”

Myers hopes to play soccer professionally after graduation.

Lily Wale

Lily Wale is committed to Washington State University to play soccer and pursue a degree in international business.

“I felt the overall culture was the best fit for me,” Wale said. “One of my goals is to start my freshman year and then get my degree.”

Abby Ballek
Abby Ballek

Abby Ballek is committed to University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she will play soccer and is undecided on what she will study.

“I chose here mostly for the coach, but they have a good soccer program, I love the campus, the vibe and the people,” Ballek said. “I want to eventually go pro.”

Mason Griffin
Mason Griffin

Mason Griffin is committed to the University of Northern Colorado to play baseball and pursue a degree in sports medicine.

“I chose here because of the coaches, the money I get and the location is close to my house,” Griffin said. “My goals are to transfer to a higher Division I school or get drafted out of there.”

Kaylee Piepho
Kaylee Piepho

Kaylee Piepho is committed to California State University, Sacramento, where she will play volleyball.

“I really like the program and I feel like I connected with the girls really well. Also, the town was super nice and the campus was nice,” Piepho said. “It would be super nice to play freshman year. That’s my goal right now to work towards.”
