Totally 80s Pizza is a restaurant and museum in the Raintree Village Shopping Center in Fort Collins. Inspired by the “Cafe 80’s” scene in “Back to the Future”, Alex Morgan created Totally 80s Pizza in 2014. Morgan writes on the Totally 80s website, “We wanted to create a fun place where the younger generations could learn about the greatness of the 1980’s.”

When entering Totally 80s Pizza, you are greeted with disco balls, music, and pastel colors. There are no waiters at Totally 80s; food is ordered at the counter and brought to the table counter service style.

The decor comprises 80s toys, props, gadgets, photos, and signed pictures from 80s celebrities. A large part of the restaurant’s wow factor comes from celebrity endorsements. Celebrities like Weird Al Yankovich, Corey Feldman, Jason Alexander, and many more sent in signed relics for the restaurant to display.

Totally 80s also features a mini arcade with a claw machine and a few authentic 80s arcade games. The menu consists of a large variety of specialty pizzas and “create your own” options. The pizza sizes include 9” personal, 12” medium, 14” large, and 16” extra large. There are 18 specialty pizzas, three of those being vegetarian options. The menu includes mozzarella sticks, cheese curds, chicken wings, and desserts. There are four specialty “Snazzy Sundaes”: The Beetlejuice, Movie Night, Jessie’s Swirl, and Saturday Morning Cartoons.

We ordered a half-and-half pizza, one-half Totally 80’s Supreme, and one-half classic cheese. The Supreme included pepperoni, Italian sausage, salami, mushrooms, bell peppers, yellow onions, and black olives. For dessert, we ordered the Saturday Morning Cartoons sundae. The sundae included vanilla ice cream, rainbow sherbet, fruit loops, raspberry syrup, whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry.

Totally 80s Pizza is a great place for all ages to visit. Whether you are looking for a blast from the past or a creative specialty pizza, Totally 80s is the place to go.

Sydney Lammey, Editor-in-Chief

Sydney Lammey, a senior at Fossil, has big aspirations for after high school hoping to pursue photography. She’s been in journalism all four years of high school. Lammey has been interested in journalism for a couple reasons. “I like to write a lot, and I like to meet new people,” explains Lammey. Her goal for the class, as it is student-ran, is to make the newsroom a comfortable place students actually want to be at.

Her favorite things in life have a wide variety, she loves the mountains because of nature but also because of animals and superstitious creatures like bigfoot. Her favorite hobbies include photography, but she's talented in other areas, like drawing and sculpture.

Food is a big part of her life, as she works in a restaurant. Lammey also enjoys cooking outside of work. Her favorite foods include an Indian dessert called Gulab Jamun and sushi, but as a child her favorite food was mini hotdogs, specifically at Chili’s.

A challenge Lammey hopes to overcome in journalism this semester is being more comfortable with people who are more introverted like herself and help new writers become excited about journalism.

Isabelle Bendixen

Isabelle Bendixen is now a senior at Fossil Ridge High School. This is her first semester taking Journalism II and her goal for this semester are to improve interviewing skills. Journalism has helped grow Bendixen's social skills and she plans to use them in and out of school.

Bendixen is currently working at Krispy Kreme but she has goals to become a tattoo artist in the future, inspired by her cousins. One of Bendixen's core values is being sympathetic to others.

Outside of journalism, Bendixen likes to draw, paint, and bake. Her favorite school subject is art. She likes all kinds of music but especially rock, punk, and jazz.
