Fossil commits
Shayleigh Masters is committed to Utah State University, where she will continue her athletic career in soccer and is undecided on what she will study.
“I liked the coaches, the culture, and I could tell how much everybody loved it,” Masters said. “I am excited to see what the next level looks like.”
Gracie Thornton is committed to San Diego State University, where she will continue her athletic career in swimming and plans to study biology.
“The team really felt like a family and the coach had a lot of connections with my coaches back home so I felt like I already fit in,” Thornton said. “I really want to make an NCAA cut and go to NCAA championships.”
Clara Smith is committed to Morehead State University in Kentucky where she will continue her athletic career in cheerleading and plans to pursue a career in nursing.
“I’m most excited about just getting better and learning more and doing things at the next level,” Smith said.
Landon Houska is committed to the University of Minnesota where he will continue his athletic career in golf and plans to pursue a career in finance. He is excited about the university.
“They just said, like, you know, you’re not only going to get better as a golfer here, you’re going to be a better student. You’re going to be a better person when you leave,” Houska said.
Maddie Kubat is committed to Iowa State University where she will continue her athletic career in soccer and plans to pursue a career in psychology.
“I loved how supportive the coaches were, and how they actually cared about who you are as people, like that was really important to me,” Kubat said. “And I think that just kind of was like, I feel like this could be where I call home for the next four years.”
Trinity Burchett is committed to Colorado Mesa University, where she will continue her athletic career in volleyball and plans to study Hospitality Management.
“I practiced with the team, and everyone was so welcoming and nice, and I loved the campus,” Burchett said. “It was like everything I was looking for, like the size and just location, near my family.”
