New science teacher Andrew Gysin is excited to be in a welcoming community at Fossil Ridge High School.
Gysin teaches Biology while also teaching beginning Health classes, a new class for him. Gysin previously taught at Dakota Ridge High School in Littleton.
“I’m just excited to be here. I’m excited to also coach and have the opportunity to be a part of other, you know, clubs, like helping out with HOSA, with Miss Hower, or helping out with the track and field team in the spring,” he said.
Gysin had a little experience during college, which made him want to continue teaching.
I just was loving that experience, loving working with high school age students, helping them find success, be successful,” said Gysin.
Students also appreciate his teaching style.
“He really gets students involved by having fun activities and experiments in his class,” freshman Nurali Meirmanov said.
