PSD Stars lacrosse opens up season with a win and give outlook on the rest of season

PSD Stars boys lacrosse is now underway, and looking forward to their latest season.

The season opener was March 5, 2026, at Windsor. The Stars pulled out the away win in a 7-4 contest.

Last year, the Stars went 10-8, and this year they’re looking for improvement. Junior Drew Seufer says, “I think that we can get some good wins this year because we have some real scrappy players and a good defense,” Seufer said.

Adam Beavers is the other Sabercat representing our school this year. Beavers is one of the goalies for the Stars this season.

Ryan Van Alsburg is one of the best defensive prospects in the state for lacrosse this year, and he is committed to Marquette for lacrosse, too. Van Alsburg, standing at 6 ‘7, and Seufer, standing at 6’ 4, offer an intimidating figure when playing.

In last night’s bout, Seufer contributed to their win by scoring from about 15 yards out, coming up from his defensive position.

Number 8, Jonas Karpiel, also put up a good fight against Windsor, where he scored a couple of goals aswell.

“I want to perform at the top of my game and have a good time with my teams just because this is my last year with them,” Seufer said.=

Seufer has played for the PSD Stars all 4 years and has one last season.

Beavers had played lacrosse for 9 years now, but has mainly been playing goalie for the last 5 years.

“I want to perfect the clear,” Beavers said. “Basically, I want to be able to get the ball on the other side of the field after I make a save and get it out clear, fluent, and not turn the ball over,” Beavers said.

The Stars’ second game is against Arapahoe High School, which is the home opener at Timnath Middle-High School on 3/13.
