Best and worst commercials: Super Bowl XLVII

Best Super Bowl Commercials: This year the majority of the commercials were more endearing than funny. Read the article below for the funny, endearing, and also the worst commercials of Super Bowl XLVIII of 2014.

Funny:

T-Mobile Tim Tebow “No Contract” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyK2UG334C8

Though Tebow was pushed out of pro football, he returned to the big screen this Super Bowl and showed audiences that he really is able to roll with the punches.

Story continues below advertisement

Doritos “Time Machine” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOEW0wxwp88

Mr. Smith is pretty clueless.

Endearing:

Cheerios “Just Checking” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYofm5d5Xdw

The little girl is adorable and sassy; she uses her dad’s tactic against him and gets him to agree to buy her a puppy.

Jeep: “Restless” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHg9XSyd8Fo

The commercial gives me wanderlust.

Budweiser: “Puppy Love” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQB7QRyF4p4

This advertisement has something for dog fans, horse fans, and hot farmer fans alike: a surefire hit.

Budweiser: A Hero’s welcome http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7L5QByvXOQ

This shows a superfluous welcome home for a veteran. Some loved the commercial and it’s dedication to the troops, others would agree a cheap beer commercial doesn’t do justice to the contributions made by our American soldiers.

Microsoft “Empowering” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaOvHKG0Tio

Former NFL player Steve Gleason uses technology to communicate with his young. Try not to cry.

Worst Commercials:

Chevy “Romance” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOMrA-BGuLY

In this one, a rancher basically is taking his cow to get some.

GoDaddy “Body builder” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Trsrrf6VfIY

I think they try to make bad commercials every year.

Axe “Love not war” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63b4O_2HCYM

This commercial basically suggests that all the world’s problems can be solved with love. It seems almost romantic until you realize the commercial is for Axe “Peace” body spray.
