Marching Band and Color Guard show well in first competition

On September 27, Fossil Ridge High School’s marching band and color guard had their first competition at Five Star Stadium, home of Legacy High School in Thornton. The competition took place on a sunny day and the energy was thriving. Also competing were Fossil rivals Fairview High School and the home team.  Fossil placed first in in the 5A category and took 2nd place overall.  Their time and effort were also rewarded with an award for “Best Musical Performance” in the finals competition.

This year, the theme is Snowcapped and it’s all about spending the weekend in the mountains. Catch our marching band and color guard perform at French Field during halftime Friday October 17th against Fairview High School.
