Boys swim and dive snatches first place conference win

Fossil Ridge High School’s Boys Swimming and Diving team won a fantastic conference win last week at Epic. Of the thirteen teams that were competing at the meet, Fossil won by 962 points, a 213 point gap that separated them from Fairview in second place with 750 points. Legacy followed behind the top two and finished with 491.5 points.

The first place win was accompanied by four broken school records:Walter Dauksher in the 500m freestyle, Danny Kovac, Matt Willis, Mason Fine, and Walter Dauksher in the 200m freestyle relay, Mason Fine in the 100m butterfly, and Danny Kovac in the 100m backstroke.

The Sabercats compete at their state competition at the Air Force Academy today and tomorrow. Head coach Mark Morehouse says, “Our season is not over yet. We plan on the best being yet to come!”
