Fossil’s finish at Horizon invitational

Fossil Ridge runner Keaton Schelir makes a final push to the finish in the picture above.

With the Cross Country season officially underway, this past Friday the fourth, the Fossil Ridge Sabercat boy’s and girl’s runners put nothing but spectacular time’s up during the Horizon Invitational.

Both guy runners Keaton Schelir and Dylan Ko finished 1st and 2nd in the boy’s heat. Schelir finished with an amazing 16:42 time while his 2nd place buddy Dylan Ko finished just two seconds behind. The boy’s as a team also finished 2nd; tightly falling behind the rival Fort Collins Lambkins. Schelir says “There’s definitely high expectations this year. We’re shooting for top 3 at both conference and regionals.”

On the other end the lady Sabercat runners put up excellent numbers as well. Sydney Teslow and Billie Fogarty were among 2 of Fossil’s top 10 finishers, as well as a 11th place time by Ellie Ewer. Just like the boys, the females were able to punch in a 2nd place finish, placing so closely behind Wheat Ridge high school who won 1st.
