Your PSD Fire field hockey team was back at it last Thursday, September 3, against Palmer Ridge, one of the most elite and competitive teams in the district.

As Palmer Ridge was putting on pressure early in the game, it was off to a fast start. Palmer’s extreme amount of skill quickly tired out the Fire, and they took a strong lead in the first half on the scoreboard and on the field.

The second half provided no rest for the Fire, and Palmer Ridge’s advantage grew. Palmer found the back of the net nine times in the game, and kept the Fire out of the net both halves.

Despite the one-sidedness of the game, Mallory Kellum was proud to say “our team played very well and worked extremely hard and we never gave up. We lost 9-0, but last season when we played Palmer Ridge we lost 17-0, so the amount of improvement was immense! I am proud to call them my team.”

Your PSD Fire fell a bittersweet fall to Palmer Ridge, 9-0.
