Danielle Burchett #7
In the 2020 volleyball season, Danielle Burchett stepped onto the varsity court as a libero and continued the season as the only freshman on varsity. Unfortunately in her junior year, the most important for college recruiting, she tore her ACL, cutting her school season short. Yet this season came as no shock when she began to make a comeback as an outside and libero before tearing a ligament in her ankle during practice, ending her high school volleyball career. Burchett is known for being determined and will continue to persevere during club season to make her goal of recruitment. The team has been a large support system for her along the way, “It’s not like [the players] are superior over another, it’s just like this huge bond, like we’re all friends,” Burchett explains. Although Burchett’s season was cut short she will always be known as an amazing player on the court.
