Emory Whiteley, Staff Writer

Emory Whiteley is a 17-year-old Senior at Fossil Ridge who moved up to Fort Collins 2 years ago before his sophomore year. He graduates in 2025.  Whiteley works at Qdoba Mexican Eats and is working to be a manager soon.

After graduation Whiteley said he wants to join the military. He also wants to go to college to learn about finance. His dream job would be to work as a sports agent, with his passion for sports and money.

He has decided to move to Oklahoma in August to live with his sister. He plans to get a manual labor job. He loves dogs and says he wants to buy a dog on the way there. When Emory isn’t working or at school, he says he likes to be lazy and play video games with his friends.

Whiteley said he enjoyed journalism because it made him think about topics you wouldn’t normally write about. Emory said he wanted to join Journalism 2 because he can focus on topics that are more personal to him and because what he writes feels more meaningful knowing people will read it.
