As residents of Fort Collins, we are lucky to live in a city with a fantastic restaurant scene where quality establishments can be found at almost every turn. Hundreds of high school students at Fossil Ridge High School take advantage of this accessibility each day during their lunch period. With only 45 minutes for lunch and a limited budget, Fossil students look for a quick, inexpensive meal that is also tasty. If you want to try a new spot or save some much needed money, there is a list below of five great options for lunch.
- Fuzzy’s Taco Shop: Fuzzy’s is one of the closest restaurants to Fossil. Their menu has a variety of Mexican food options. Be sure to take advantage of Taco Tuesday at Fuzzy’s where tacos are sold for $1.50.
- Mama Roni’s: A local pizza establishment founded by a couple of Colorado State University graduates. Mama Roni’s knows how to offer quality pizza at a decent price. Ask about the student special, two slices and a drink for $5 every week day.
- Gibs Bagels: A popular breakfast and lunch destination serving up sandwiches. You can also grab a quick cup of coffee to stay awake during the last class of the day.
- Matador Mexican Grill: Visit this local grill for some tasty smothered green chili burritos. If you want large meals or extremely spicy cuisine, Matador can accompany your appetite for the unique.
- Subway: A classic option for an inexpensive meal. Subway is reliable for a quick sandwich with fresh vegetables available to add some flavor and nutrition.
