We love our celebrities, but what we love even more is what they do on the screen. Each movie has a different story, a different love scene, and of course, an attractive leading man. Movies have not only entertained us throughout the years, but they have also taught us valuable lessons that we will never forget. Here’s a list of some of our favorites.
10. Taken. This movie proves that all of our father’s can be extremely intense and hardcore when it comes to protecting us from bad people. Also, Liam Neeson is as much of a boss in Taken as he is in Star Wars.
9. The Proposal. If you ever get into a situation where you might be deported, say you’re getting married to Ryan Reynolds. It will probably happen. Also, when you’re feeling really down, it’s okay to chant from your heart with an old woman as awesome as Betty White.
8. 27 Dresses. It’s okay to be a bridesmaid 27 times before you find a husband as hot as James Marsden. Basically, you get to attend a lot of wedding receptions, wear some awesome dresses, and come home with a bunch of bouquets.
7. The Lucky One. First of all, Zac Efron is beautiful though we already knew that. This movie taught us that it’s okay to walk across the country with your dog to find the love of your life. I wouldn’t complain if Zac Efron showed up at my door and said, “I came here to find you.”
6. Up. Boy scouts can be adorable. Colored birds might not always be male. Grumpy old men can have a change of heart. Dogs are easily distracted. And with enough helium, houses can fly.
5. The Notebook. There are two lessons to be learned from this movie. Whenever it is pouring rain, even if you did your hair and makeup, kiss someone…especially if they are as good looking as Ryan Gosling. Also, make sure to find a man that would love you all your life and read to you every day just so he could spend a couple of minutes with you remembering him. Find a Noah!
4. Sweeney Todd. Johnny Depp has quite the voice. Wow. Anyway, we learned a very serious lesson from this movie: revenge is never going to get you anywhere. So stop wallowing in the past, and move on. But breaking into song isn’t so bad, either.
3. The Batman trilogy. Bruce Wayne. Christian Bale. Enough said. If you ever have the opportunity to talk like Batman, do it. Always fight for what you believe in and never give up even when all the people you love turn against you.
2. Pirates of the Caribbean. We didn’t learn much from this movie except that Orlando Bloom is sexy, Johnny Depp is the reason these movies exist, and pirates rock our world. “This is the day that you will always remember as the day that you almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow.”
1. Titanic. What can we say about this movie? Let’s write a novel, shall we? We will never be content with a love that isn’t as strong as the love between Jack and Rose. We love Leonardo DiCaprio so much. It nearly broke our heart when he died. It actually does break out heart every time we watch it. It is okay to spontaneously fall in love with a random stranger on a boat. Just make sure that it’s not going to hit an iceberg. Also, never let go.
