With four weeks until the Presidential Election, some of you may be wondering about who you are going to vote for. But as Romney and Obama dominate the media, it’s easy to forget that there are other candidates to watch.
To help you understand where the presidential hopefuls stand and who you might want to vote for, here’s a list of candidates and their views.

ROCKY ANDERSON– Independent
Background Information: Anderson was born in Logan, Utah and currently resides in Salt Lake City. He received his bachelor’s degree in philosophy at the University of Utah in 1973 and went on to earn his Juris Doctorate at George Washington University Law School five years later. His political experience includes being the mayor of Utah for eight years. He was a former associate attorney and served as the Co-Founder of High Road for Human Rights from 2008-2011. He is a former member of the Democratic Party.

VIRGIL GOODE– American Constitution Party
Background Information: Goode was born in Richmond,Va. and now lives inRocky Mount,Va. He is religiously affiliated with the Baptist church. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science at the University or Richmond and then earned his Juris Doctorate at the University of Virginia in 1973. His political experience includes being a senator on the Virginia State Senate from 1973-1997. He then was elected as a U.S. House Representative from 1997-2008. He also served for the Virginia Army National Guard, and is a former member of the Republican Party.

BARACK OBAMA– Democrat, Current President
Background Information: Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and his hometown is Chicago, IL. He is religiously affiliated with the United Church of Christ. He received his bachelor’s degree at Columbia University in 1983 and then went on to graduate from Harvard Law School. He served as a senator in the Illinois State Senate and the U.S. Senate for more than 10 years. He also worked as a former professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago.

GARY JOHNSON– Libertarian
Background Information: Johnson was born in Minot, ND. and currently resides in Taos, N.M. He is religiously affiliated with the Lutheran Church. He served as governor of New Mexico from 1994-2002 and was Co-Founder of Big J Enterprises from 1976-1999. He is a former member of the Republican Party.

MITT ROMNEY– Republican
Background Information: Romney was born in Detroit, Michigan and now lives in Belmont, Massachusetts. He is religiously affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1971 and went on to earn his master’s degree from Harvard Business School in 1975. Mitt Romney served as the governor ofMassachusetts for six years. He is also the Founder of Bain Capital, Incorporated.

JILL STEIN- Green Party
Background Information: Stein was born in Chicago, Illinois and currently resides in Lexington, Massachusetts. She is affiliated with the Jewish religion. She received her Bachelor’s degree at Harvard University in 1973 and attended Harvard Medical School. She has been a candidate for House Representative many times and has done a lot of work in the medical field. She was an Instructor of Medicine for more than 30 years and has written many books. She has also been on the Lexington City Council for four years.
