On Wednesday, December 14, midway through Fossil Ridge High School’s lunch, an underground gas explosion set traffic back with a flying sewer cover, causing students who went out to lunch to be late to class. It’s expected to take until later tonight to open the Harmony and Ziegler intersection again and allow the usual traffic to flow through. When Fossil’s normal school day is over, the intersection will still be closed and people will have to take a different route home and take another road like Kechter.
