Tuesday, January 31 Fossil Ridge JV girls basketball team played our town rivals, Fort Collins High School. Starting the game was Zaeleigh Barela, Reaghan Lang, Lauren Zwetzig, Davin Tonn, and Kaylee Menefee. Last year the Sabercats won against the Lambkins and were hoping to keep the streak going.
“ I think the whole JV team was excited for this game knowing that this win was going to get us the city sweep! We all had a positive attitude going into the game but were definitely nervous.” Zaeleigh Barela.
For the first half the sabercats played great defense together as a team which lead to the half time score of 31- 15, fossil taking the lead.
With only one loss against Horizon, the sabercats are very comfortable playing with each other and work well together on the court. Leading the entire game the final score was 46- 21, the sabercats win once again. The next game is against Fairveiw at Fossil, come out to support your cats!

It was well descriptive but short and sweet.

I like how short and simple the article was and how it told me the score pretty early.

Its nice to hear about teams that aren’t varsity because they don’t get the exposure they deserve.
