Milena Brown
Milena Brown is a Fossil Ridge High School senior, photographer, and avant writer in her first in the journalism program and on the Etched In Stone staff. In school, she is involved in Fresh Club and DLA and looks forward to a year of journalism, her graduation, and participating in the lip dub. Outside of school, Milena is a passionate photographer, “I like to use the camera to look at things differently.” Her favorite type of photography is portraits. Milena was born in Bulgaria, where she was adopted. Her family was based in Illinois, and after four years she moved to Colorado. She holds a special place in her heart for zucchini, yet she also enjoys mac and cheese, tomato soup, and potatoes. Milena was partway through her junior year when she realized she wanted to pursue journalism as a career. “I’ve always been good at talking to people and asking questions,” she said. Soon after, she enrolled in the journalism program and has loved it ever since. When it comes to Fossil, Milena thinks it’s an amazing school. “There are so many opportunities, there’s something to do for everyone. Within those opportunities, you have more to create for yourself.”
