Boys golf takes first place at Conference

Tuesday, September 12, five players from the boys golf team competed in the Conference Championship at Harmony Club golf course. There were 13 different teams and 60 players total. Fossil took first place and was 97 points ahead of the team that placed second. This outstanding match for the golf team made a school record for winning the conference tournament by so many points.“It feels good to see that all of my hard work a dedication has paid off” Dillion Stewart. This season a few freshmen made varsity and have benefited the team in many ways.“Our team has improved, especially because we have some young varsity competitors who have gained composure and experience in the competitive fire of varsity play.” Coach Andy Stevens. All of the players have been working their hardest to improve and lower the score for the next tournament they play in. “ Personally I want to win regionals as an individual and as a team. The past two years the team has taken fourth in state and this year I want to change that.” Dillion Stewart. With all of the hard work and dedication the boys have their eyes on the prize.
