Madalynn Lewis

Madalynn Lewis, a freshman, has just begun her journalism career this year. She feels most at home writing about the amazing sports program Fossil Ridge High School has. This year, Madalynn is in charge of covering Unified Sports with her friend, Maddie Booton. She explains, “I really believe that all students with all abilities should be celebrated no matter what.”

The aspiring journalist was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming and moved to Fort Collins when she was 11 years old. Lewis lives with her mom, dad, and little brother. She enjoys spending time in the mountains going fishing and camping. Lewis also loved watching movies, reading books, and playing soccer. She loves living in Colorado because there are so many fun things to do. Lewis knows she wants to continue her education after high school, but she is not exactly sure where she wants to attend yet. Her dream school would be  a school in California that is close to the beach and the mountains. Lewis hopes to either get her degree in journalism or for teaching.

Her passion for journalism can be seen from a mile away. Lewis can’t wait to be more involved in the school community. Lewis loves writing because “its really cool that you can share other people’s stories and experiences with the world.”
