Jared Polis

Jared Polis is a Democrat running for the position of Colorado governor. Polis has experience in entrepreneurship (having taken his family greeting card business online and started the business ProFlowers) and as a U.S. Representative for Northern Colorado. His priorities for change in Colorado are economy, education, and Colorado workers, as well as the environment, gun violence prevention, healthcare, broadband, renewable energy, and transportation. His plans for these areas include instating universal full-day kindergarten and preschool, standing up to gun lobbyists and banning assault weapons, switching entirely to renewable energy by 2040, and establishing a Front Range Rail, creating a “modern high speed transportation option” free of issues one may encounter on the interstate, such as traffic or pollution.
