Girls Basketball reigns supreme over Boulder
Jazi Barela shoots a free throw after being fouled during a layup
On Tuesday, January 14, the Fossil Ridge High School Girls Basketball team defeated Boulder High School 73-13. The game was an obvious blowout. Rebound after rebound, three pointer after three pointer, Fossil never seemed to take their foot of the gas.
Strong defense was important too, as during some points in the game Boulder couldn’t even get out of their own half. Sophia Hadad stood out for both her rebounds and steals. Boulder failed to score a point for the entirety of the first quarter, and a large part of the second. When Boulder ended their scoring drought, it was through a free throw.
Intimidating play was reflected through the intimidating final score. Great job Sabercats!
